About us
The grade crossing is a cross part between the railroad and the road. The grade crossing provides necessary traffic control equipments and makes sure that trains pass safely. Trains own the right to pass railroads firstly. However, there are factors such as impatient drivers and bad lanes designed, and they resulted in railroads accidents happened frequently. At the same time, they make a huge damage of life's and property. Take it for example, during 2001 to 2005, there were 410 railroads accidents happened at 650 grade crossings around the whole county. It resulted in 125 people got dead, and 153 people got hurt. The average of accidents happened in one year is 80, and it resulted in 25 people got dead and 30 people got hurt. It a huge damage exactly. Compared to foreign data of grade crossing, domestic data is much higher than foreign. It shows that we can improve more about grade crossing safety.

According to above, through the website, the Ministry of Communications would offer citizen basic knowledge and relative information about grade crossing safety. On the other hand, it would offer relative authority data to maintain grade crossing. The website included foreign and domestic basic knowledge of grade crossing, introduction of equipments, data of accidents, public discussing area, and the maintain and using of relative authority database. Therefore, it is a platform for knowledge and communication, and it is a goal for citizen to care grade crossing.
