Checked Luggage/Parcels Rules

Passenger parcels with the train ticket of the Express Train. The length of each piece should not exceed 2 meters, the volume should not exceed 1 cubic meter or the weight should not exceed 20 kilograms.
  1. Luggage (clothes, shoes, etc.).
  2. Ordinary parcels identified by this council (except for empty containers of food items).

Remarks: The consignment period is limited to the valid period of the ticket. However, the pre-sale train ticket should consign 1 day before the valid period begins. (i.e., the day of travelling and one day before)

Valuables, light items, newsprints, animals, ashes and vehicles should not be consigned as passenger parcels.
If there are other items or bicycle accessories on the bicycle when checking it in, please remove it and take it back or check it in separately, except for rear mirrors, water bottle holders, front and rear lights, and front storage baskets.
Time for accepting parcel consignment follows the announcement time of each station. However, item which is necessary for an urgent delivery is not limited to this under the approval of the station.
The following items cannot be regarded as parcel:
  1. Item with length exceeding 2 meters, volume exceeding 1 cubic meter or weight exceeding 20 kilograms.
  2. Dangerous goods, contraband goods, guns.
  3. Pigs, cows, sheep, beasts, snakes and animal in need of special care (such as air-conditioning, feeding or water supplying) during transportation.
  4. Stinky and disgusting items.
  5. Items which may make other items dirty or damaged.
  6. Items which is improperly packaged.
  7. Other items which are considered by the council to be unsuitable for parcel delivery.
When the consignor consigns the items which are not allowed for parcel consignment above in other item names, this council will not take the responsibility of delivery, and is ready to dismiss or terminate the delivery contract. Thus, in case there is any damage, the consignor will bear the liability.

The following items are not subject to the restriction of the first regulation of the previous section:

  1. Those using baggage cart for delivery.
  2. Foldable wheelchair.
  3. The ashes of ashess and dogs containing more than 30 kilograms in dog boxes must be transferred, loaded and unloaded by the escort themselves.
  4. Indivisible items, such as car interior and exterior components.
  5. Based on the necessity of public welfare, the delivery approved by this council.

The items in the previous section are not arranged for delivery.

The parcels below should be escorted:
  1. Ashes.
  2. Animals required for care during transportation.
  3. Valuable good required for protection during transportation.
For the parcels stored in the station for collection, the collection period should be as follows:
  1. Within 4 hours after the arrival of the parcel or the notice of arrival is sent.
  2. Within 2 days after the arrival of the parcel or the notice of arrival is sent. For the items arrived or the notice of arrival sent after 17:00, it is counted from the next day.

For parcels which cannot be delivered because of the liability of the passenger or the owner of the parcel, the collection period is within 2 days from the date of delivery. For a batch of parcels which do not arrive at the same time, the collection period is 2 days from the date of the last notice of arrival.

If the parcel is not collected after the deadline, the storage fee will be charged by number of days from the next day after the deadline to the day of collection.
If the name or weight of the parcel is found to be inconsistent with the declaration after delivery, such that there is overpay for the transportation and miscellaneous charges, the portion overpaid should be refunded. Insufficient portion should be reimbursed for the transportation and miscellaneous charge, and the transportation and miscellaneous charge should be charged double of the insufficient portion. For dangerous good, coffin and ashes, etc., the transportation and miscellaneous charge should be charged three times of the insufficient portion.
When the consignor hides the dangerous goods for consignment in other types of item names, apart from being processed according to the previous section, he should be transferred to the police unit for punishment according to the first section of Article 68 of the Railway law.
For the last two sections, the storage fee should be charged according to the actual product name or the product name of the highest charging rate among the mixed product names.
Passengers should temporarily store the items carried to the station other than the simple station and the greeting station. However, the following items are not accepted.
  1. Items which are too long, too big, too heavy, or incompletely packaged, not suitable for storage.
  2. Dangerous goods, valuable items.
  3. Items which may make other items dirty or damaged or which are easily rotted and deteriorated.
  4. Items which are not cleaned or emit dirty gas.
  5. Vehicles other than bicycles, baby cart, pet stroller, child car and foldable wheelchair.
  6. Animals.
