1. Taiwan Railway Corporation ,Ltd.: from April 1, 2018, available on Xincheng and Beipu Stations, and all computerized ticket booking stations from Hualian to Fuli (excluding Heping, Dafu and Sanmin Stations) sell up bound (Hualian to Taipei) joint transportation tickets.
2. Capital Bus: Taipei City Hall Bus Station sells (Taipei to Hualian) joint transportation tickets.
3. Kamalan Bus: Taipei Bus Station sells (Taipei to Hualian) joint transportation tickets.
4. Kuokuang Bus: Yuanshan Bus Station sells (Taipei to Hualian) joint transportation tickets.
5. Metropolitan Transport: Xindian Bus Station sells (Taipei to Hualian) joint transportation tickets.
Taiwan Railway Corporation, Ltd. Xincheng and Beipu Stations, and all computerized ticket booking stations from Hualian to Fuli (excluding Heping, Dafu and Sanmin Stations) in specific ticket windows, Capital Bus, Kamalan Bus, Kuokuang Bus and Metropolitan Transport during business hours sell valid tickets for same day travel by cash (temporary not accepting credit card).
Purchased joint transportation ticket, passenger if wishes to travel on fixed seat train, in Taiwan Railway Corporation, Ltd. Xincheng and Beipu Stations, and all computerized ticket booking stations from Hualian to Fuli (excluding Heping, Dafu and Sanmin Stations) may with the joint transportation ticket pay additional fare to purchase fixed seat ticket for the same day.

Ludong Station up bound and down bound transfer location:

Up bound (Hualian = > Taipei) passengers please proceed to the Ludong Bus Station in front of the rear station of Ludong Train Station to transfer by highway bus.

Down bound (Taipei = > Hualian) passengers after alighting from the train at the rear station of Ludong Train Station at Zhandong Road, please proceed to the Ludong Bus Station in front of the rear station of Ludong Train Station to transfer by highway bus.

Fares are different for different highway bus companies.

2. Kamalan Bus ＋ Taiwan Railway Corporation, Ltd. full journey concessionary ticket fare: NTD222, half fare ticket NTD118
3. Kuokuang Bus ＋ Taiwan Railway Corporation, Ltd. full journey concessionary ticket fare: NTD216, half fare ticket NTD120
4. Metropolitan Transport ＋ Taiwan Railway Corporation, Ltd. full journey concessionary ticket fare: NTD209, half fare ticket NTD110.

Instructions of use

Passengers in the joint transportation zone (Hualian = Taipei) have to travel by railway train and highway bus to be eligible to enjoy the joint transportation concessionary offer.
Up bound passenger (Hualian = Taipei) that purchased joint transportation ticket in the joint transportation zone, but only travel by railway train and do not travel by highway bus, may refund the joint transportation ticket and purchases the train fixed seat ticket for the same day at TRA Xincheng and Beipu Stations, and all computerized ticket booking stations from Hualian to Fuli (excluding Heping, Dafu and Sanmin Stations). Example: Up bound passenger purchased Capital Bus ＋ Taiwan Railway Corporation, Ltd. full journey concessionary ticket fare NTD209, if an Ziqiang Express is approaching Hualian Train Station, the passenger wishes to travel by railway train and not travel by highway bus, has to refund the joint transportation ticket (NTD209) and then purchase the fixed seat ticket (NTD440) of Ziqiang Express for the same day at Hualian Train Station.
Up bound passenger (Hualian = Taipei) in the joint transportation zone (Hualian = Ludong), if wishes to travel by fixed seat train may with the joint transportation ticket and pay the additional fare for the difference between the originating ticket fare and fixed seat ticket for the same day at Taiwan Railway Corporation, Ltd. Xincheng and Beipu Stations, and all computerized ticket booking stations from Hualian to Fuli (excluding Heping, Dafu and Sanmin Stations). Example: Up bound passenger purchased Capital Bus ＋ TRA full journey concessionary ticket fare NTD209, if an Ziqiang Express is approaching Hualian Train Station, the passenger wishes to travel by railway train to Ludong Train Station and then transfer to travel by highway bus, the passenger may with the joint transportation ticket and pay additional fare for the difference of Hualian and Ludong regional train fare NTD130, and Hualian = Ludong Ziqiang Express fare NTD203, (NTD203 - NTD130 = 73) NTD73.
Up bound passenger holding joint transportation ticket but not pay the additional fare for fixed seat ticket for the same day at the originating station, when check by train conductor between Hualian = Ludong, saying will transfer to highway bus at Ludong Train Station, shall pay the difference between Hualian = Ludong regional train fare and the originating ticket fare. Example: Up bound passenger purchased Capital Bus ＋ Taiwan Railway Corporation, Ltd. full journey concessionary ticket fare NTD209, if not pay the additional fare for Ziqiang Express and board the train at Hualian Train Station, when check by train conductor between Hualian = Ludong, saying will transfer to highway bus at Ludong Train Station, shall pay the difference between Hualian = Ludong regional train fare NTD130, and Hualian = Ludong Ziqiang Express fare NTD203 (NTD203 - NTD130 = 73) NTD73.
Up bound passenger when check by train conductor saying will not alight at Ludong Train Station to transfer to highway bus, or is holding joint transportation ticket without paying additional fare, when check by train conductor between Taipei = Ludong, shall first make up the originating ticket fare between Hualian = Taipei, and then with the make up ticket receipt and joint transportation ticket, go to Taipei Train Station to proceed with refund of joint transportation ticket fare. Example: Up bound passenger purchased Kamalan Bus ＋ Taiwan Railway Corporation, Ltd. full journey concessionary ticket fare: NTD222, if in the joint transportation zone (Hualian = Taipei) takes the Ziqiang Express without taking highway bus, passenger when arrives in station (Taipei Train Station) or when check by train conductor, shall first make up the Ziqiang Express fare NTD440 between Hualian = Taipei, and then with the make up ticket receipt and joint transportation ticket, go to Taipei Train Station to refund the joint transportation ticket fare NTD222.
Inquiry of train time: please use Taiwan Railway Corporation, Ltd.’s website or the function of “train time / train number inquiry” app (note: the system provides real time train departure time for reference, actual departure time shall be prevailed by the site ticket selling.
From January 30, 2014, passengers may by holding the joint transportation ticket of Taiwan Railway Corporation, Ltd. - Capital Bus, Taiwan Railway Corporation, Ltd. - Kamalan Bus, Taiwan Railway Corporation, Ltd. - Metropolitan Transport or Taiwan Railway Corporation, Ltd. - Kuokuang Bus, proceed to the Ludong Bus Station in front of the rear station of Ludong Train Station to transfer by any highway bus of the above particular highway bus company to Taipei.
Between Hualian and Ludong passengers are traveled by trains, between Ludong and Taipei passengers are transferred by highway bus.
